About Purpose for Earth Foundation
The Purpose for Earth Foundation is a non-profit organization that is working to create plastic-free oceans by 2050. We partner with ocean and marine life conservation organizations to raise awareness and educate young people and families about the importance of ocean conservation and living sustainably.
Through inspirational education and making information and resources on implementing sustainable practices into everyday routines easily accessible, the Purpose for Earth Foundation seeks to impact small changes in individual behaviors to make a collective difference.
The Purpose for Earth Foundation was founded by father, son, and daughter-in-law, Burton, Josh, and Bianca Lewis, out of the desire to create a better planet for future generations. Inspired by the ocean conservation efforts of professional surfer, journalist, and scientist, Cliff Kapono, and recognizing the urgent need for a shift in mindset regarding recycling and sustainability, the Lewis family embarked on a journey to change the DNA of our waste-creating behaviors.
The Purpose for Earth Foundation seeks to impact these changed behaviors by making information about ocean conservation, recycling, and sustainable living easily accessible and easy to understand. By teaching young people and families how to incorporate sustainable practices into their daily routines, The Purpose for Earth Foundation is working toward plastic-free oceans by 2050.
